A few weeks ago we talked about the benefits of creating digital products to sell on Etsy. It is a great way to start a business in your free time that doesn’t require your constant attention to make sales.

If you would like to learn more about the basics behind the business, you can check out my first article on the subject here.

If you are already intrigued with this business idea and want to get more resources on the details of starting an Etsy Shop, selling digital products, or marketing your products, check out the resources below.

Setting Up Shop

This book by Money Maker Publishing provides the ins and outs of setting up a digital products business on Etsy. They discuss the pros and cons of the platform, selecting a product to sell, setting up shop, marketing, and more.

They even show you how to choose products to sell, name your shop, and stand out from your competitors.

Marketing

Next we have a series of books by Charles Huff on using different social media platforms and blogs to market your Etsy products and make more sales. Now by no means do you need to use all of these platforms when you are just starting out.

In fact, you can still make sales without using any of them. One of the major draws of the Etsy platform is that there are already buyers there looking for products. But using these platforms can definitely increase your sales and Charles explains how to set them up and use them to maximum effect.

Just click on the images below to check them out.

Audio Learning

If you are interested in learning about the Etsy business while doing other things like washing dishes, or commuting, or other chores, you can check out several Etsy podcasts. Now these podcasts are not specific to selling digital products on Etsy, but they can still teach you a lot about marketing and sales and shop setup, etc.

The Etsy Printables Course

There is no better business investment than investing in education. And since this business has minimal upfront costs this investment is definitely worth it.

On the other hand, if you are not quite ready to actually but money into this business, Julie and Cody also have a free ebook that gives you a huge list of successful product to create for each month of the year. Their list of seasonal sellers can help you capitalize on the trends throughout the year.
