Sometimes (maybe a lot of the time) working out stinks. You have a million and one things to do and sometimes we have a hard time rationalizing taking time out of our day to workout.

This is why one of my favorite forms of cardio is dancing.  I grew up dancing, I have danced professionally, and I teach dance. But, that's not the type of dance I'm talking about. I mean a good old fashioned dance party in your living room.

The perfect 90's music playlist to get your cardio on. Learn why I love having a dance party as my cardio and get my fav playlist!

Why I Love it

First off, dancing is fun. Dancing to music you love is even funner (yes, I know that's not a word). We don't always enjoy every workout we do although that is the goal. On the other hand I have never not enjoyed a dance party.

This is a great workout for the days you don't feel like working out. Just put on the playlist and let the music pump you up.  You may get a better workout than you expected!

Best of all, you can workout with your kids! While some stay at home moms my like working out at the gym as a chance to clear their head and interact with adults sans numerous interruptions; many working moms hate feeling like they are taking even more time away from the family. The great thing about dance parties, is anyone can participate. Show your kids the value of exercise and taking care of your body all while having a good time.

Dance Workout Playlist

The Playlist

So, this is a pretty long list, 18 songs. You of course don't have to use them all. With songs typically being 3 minutes long, you have close to an hour here. I like to have it on shuffle so I can be surprised and so every dance party is different. There are a ton more songs that I love from the 90's but

A) I couldn't add them all or this list would be infinitely long, and

B) I only wanted super up beat ones that make you wanna get up and dance.

What songs would you add to the list?  Let me know in the comments.  Also, let me know if you use the 90's playlist with your kids and if they liked the music, lol.
