In this day and age, there is no reason that we should ever have to sacrifice form for function. With so many products available to us, finding a product that fits our needs and fits our decor is totally possible. In regards to paper organization, gone are the days of the metal filing cabinet and ugly manila file folders.
Not only do boring organizational supplies look out of place in our home, but it also makes dealing with our paper far less enticing. Below are a collection of fun products to keep your papers organized in a beautiful way!
Filing Cabinets/Boxes
I love this super cute rustic looking filing cabinet. It is perfect for a home office or even in a spare bedroom or the living room as a side table. No one has to know that it's a filing cabinet! I love that one drawer is for files and the other is a storage drawer. There you can keep pens, post-its, paper clips, highlighters, and anything else you need when going through your files, all hidden away.
Oxford File Cabinet, 2-DRAWER, WHITE
If you like a cleaner look, check out this 2 drawer filing cabinet. With two drawers for storing files, this is perfect if you have to store a lot of paper. This might be necessary for any entrepreneurs out there. You can have one drawer for business and one for personal.
Decorative Seagrass Filing & Storage Office Box | Letter Size (Natural)
If you have fewer folders and/or you don't have a designated office, this is a great solution. You can store this file box in one place and then bring it out to the table when you need it. With it's wicker exterior, no one will know it's storing files.
File Folders
Wilson Jones Resource Recycled Decorative File Folders, 6-Folder Pack, Assorted Colors (31505)
When you are working on a project, these pretty folders are perfect. With their cute designs, they make you actually want to get to work! Personally, I love the polka dots! Also, check out Carson-Dellosa who makes folders for classrooms that can be super fun for your home office.
In all honesty, the world of hanging file folders leaves much to be desired. They are super generic and boring for the most part. However, by comparison, these jewel toned hanging folders are pretty cute. As opposed to the manila or puke green ones, these suit my taste far better. Plus, Pendaflex does make a sturdy folder.
Binders
These binders are an adorable addition to any home office. Use one binder for recipes, one for household management, one for project planning, and one for each kids' school info. While performing the same job, these binders are 100 times cuter than the boring solid color binders.
Avery My Recipe Binder, Extra Wide 1-Inch Slant Ring, Chalkboard Design (19801)
This binder is perfect for recipes, of course. I love the cute chalkboard design. This would look great on display in the kitchen or on a bookshelf. Plus, it has a printed-on meat temperature chart and measurement conversion table for easy reference. How cool is that? As if that weren't enough, you can get free coordinating templates for binder cover sheets, spine labels, dividers and tabs, recipe cards, full recipe pages and more at avery.com/recipes.
File Racks
If you are the type of person who likes to have their most used files within easy reach, check out this cute hanging file rack. I love the neutral tone with the chevron stripe for a bit of fun. This is great for current projects or to sort incoming paper by person so that they can easily go through their papers.
Can't make holes in your walls? Check out this cute desk top file rack and organizer. Perfect for keeping the files you are working on plus all of your other office accessories. I love the little heart detail on the drawer and that it doesn't feel so businessy.
If paperwork is making you feel less than enthusiastic, trying picking up some of these items to help make it more fun! I can't take away the need to do paper work, but it can be a whole lot cuter. Make your work space a place you want to go and your paperwork will be a lot less overwhelming!
Now get excited because Friday's post is going to be all about Hailey's first birthday party which we held on Sunday! It was a blast and I can't wait to break it down for you. There will be tons of pics of course!!
Cheers,
Emily
